Magnolia Treasures
Inspired by & a tribute to one of the Earth’s earliest flowers, which predates the era of bees
The Story of Magnolia Treasures
THE STORY
Welcome to my first surface pattern collection ‘Magnolia Treasures.
A tribute to one of the Earth’s earliest flowers, a flower that predates the era of bees.
Let me take you through the fascination I have with this unique and gorgeous flower.
Fossil evidence shows that the Magnolia is more than 100 million years old.
This flower structure is one of the oldest, and it indicates that the Magnolia is one of the first flower plants on Earth.
With blooming flowers and leaves alternating on the stem, the twigs have an anise-like scent when bruised.
The firmness of the Magnolia’s petals are due to the fact that pollination is done by beetles and not bees or butterflies as with other flowers.
This is another indicator that the Magnolia is one of the first flowers on Earth.
A very special and unique flower that bloomed before there were bees.
Step into the world of Magnolia Treasures.
Let these designs surround you with a captivating embrace, reminding you of the enduring beauty that nature has donated to us throughout history.
Enjoy.

BlueMagnolia Heritage Tale
‘Like may your strength
& grace blossom in every season of life’
The Magnolia Flower,
In ancient worlds where time evolved,
A flower graced this new world,
Magnificent magnolia, ancient and bold,
A story of nature's secrets so far untold.
In shades of pink you paint the sky,
A crown of petals, delicate and fair.
Before the bees, before their buzz,
Beetles danced, their duty began,
A hidden partnership, a timeless bond,
In ancient days, their purpose spawned.
Oh, magnolia, the crown of the ancient flower,
Pollinated by beetles all around,
A fragrance whispers on the breeze,
Anise sweetness, borne with ease.
For in your presence, we glimpse the past,
And cherish the beauty that lasts forever.
Through centuries, you have stood,
A sign of nature's grace and good.
Ancient Magnolia, the true wizard of time,
Your legacy, forever and ever.
